Since 1994 Tri-County EMC has awarded over $1,379,266.03 to local schools and teachers for special enhancement projects. These grants have had a direct impact on the education of students in Wayne, Duplin and Lenoir counties. Tri-County EMC leads the cooperatives in North Carolina in the amount of grants awarded.

The Rules

  • For North Carolina teachers in grades K-12

  • Teachers must include a budget, explain the creative elements, implementation, goals and evaluation of the project, and have approval from the school principal

  • Individual projects that could be funded up to $1,000

  • Open to all subjects

  • Teachers are limited to one grant proposal per year and are eligible even if they have received a grant before.
